Your independent blog, powered by clean energy, run on recycled hardware — no Big Tech, no nonsense, just your words online.
We run Ghost — the open-source publishing platform — so you can focus on writing.
Our servers run primarily on solar panels. When the sun isn't enough, we draw from Bürgerwerke — a citizen-owned cooperative supplying 100% renewable electricity from solar, wind, and water across Germany.
Three Mac Pro "trash cans" from 2013, bought second-hand, upgraded with new CPUs from eBay and clustered together. That's the server. No new hardware purchased.
Your data stays in Germany under strict EU/GDPR privacy laws. No surprise data-sharing with anyone.
You talk to a real person — not a bot, not a ticket queue. We pick up issues ourselves and care about your site.
No AWS. No Google Cloud. No Microsoft Azure. We own our hardware and answer to our customers, not shareholders.
A clean, fast, distraction-free publishing platform. Write, publish, grow an audience. That's it.
Solar-first. When the panels fall short, Bürgerwerke fills the gap — 100% renewable, community-owned.
Fair usage — we trust you to use it like a reasonable human being.
Billed monthly. Cancel any time.
Fair usage means we trust you not to abuse things. No hidden overage fees, no surprise bills. If something unusual comes up, we'll talk like adults.
The internet got too loud, too commercial, too manufactured. We think there's still a place for real writing by real people — blogs that are personal, honest, and just a little bit weird.
We don't use AI to generate content, pad support replies, or pretend to care. We actually care. We built this because we wanted something like it and it didn't exist.
No tracking pixels. No affiliate upsells. No growth-hacking. Just a good Ghost® install running on green energy in a data centre in Germany, for a dollar a month.
The infrastructure is three Mac Pro "trash cans" from 2013 — the cylindrical ones Apple made for a few years and then quietly abandoned. We bought them used, swapped in new CPUs from eBay, and clustered them together. That's it. That's the whole server room. Every Ghost® instance on this platform runs on those three machines, powered by solar panels. On cloudy days or at night, the gap is filled by Bürgerwerke — a German cooperative that bundles local community energy projects and supplies 100% renewable electricity from solar, wind, and water. No big utility, no fossil fuels. Citizens owning their energy supply, just like you'd own your own website.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, you're our kind of people.
Honest answers.
Yes. We keep overhead low by running lean on recycled hardware and renewable energy. We're not trying to get rich — we want to keep the indie web alive.
Use your blog like a normal person. Write posts, have readers, build a newsletter. If you're trying to run a high-traffic media company for $1, we'll have a chat first.
Nothing restrictive — it's our policy for how we operate. We don't use AI to write our support replies or documentation. We expect you to bring your own human voice too.

Email us. A real person reads it and replies — usually within a day. No ticket numbers, no chatbots.
